Recent J&J interview experiences show two tracks. Interns and co-ops get a HireVue recording first (three or four questions such as why J&J, why this position and why you are qualified, with a 4-day deadline and two attempts per answer), then one or two live interviews mixing behavioral and technical questions. Experienced hires move through a recruiter call, a hiring manager interview and often a team panel, sometimes with an assessment such as Gallup strengths.
Candidates describe interviewers as welcoming and conversational. The complaints are about process: long waits, and in one manager loop, extra interviews added at short notice.
Johnson & Johnson interview process round by round

| Recruiter interview | About 30 min | Background, fit, logistics |
| Hiring manager interview | 30-60 min | STAR behavioral questions and role knowledge |
| Team panel | 30-60 min | Technical depth, teamwork, sometimes the Credo |
