Globant HR Interview Questions and Answers

New to HR rounds? The basics that apply at every company - answer frameworks for the standard questions, a story bank, and the usual red flags - are in HR round basics. This page covers what is specific to Globant.

Overview

What this company’s HR round focuses on

Globant’s core loop is a lean two rounds - technical, then managerial - but client-specific openings bolt on a distinct client/fitment round that tests consulting communication as much as code.

Common Globant HR questions

Globant HR and cultural fit rounds typically run 15–25 minutes after technical or client fitment screens (Takluu and placementpapers.app 2025–2026 summaries). Client-facing roles add questions on explaining trade-offs to non-engineers; campus mailers increasingly mention AI Studios vocabulary in HR, not only in the OA.

1. Tell me about yourself

Framework: Present → Past → Future (60–90 seconds). End with why Globant and which studio/stack you want.

Sample answer: “I am a final-year IT graduate from Pune with a 7.4 CGPA. I work in JavaScript and React and built a portfolio site with lazy-loaded routes and basic Jest tests - that project taught me why closure bugs show up in event handlers, which matches Globant Web UI loops. My internship was a .NET WebAPI backend where I learned dependency injection and SQL indexing. I practise one DSA warm-up before interviews because Globant assessments often pair coding with resume cross-examination. I am interviewing because Globant staffs engineers onto digital product and AI studio squads with real client delivery - I want consulting communication plus depth in frontend engineering, not a single internal product only.”

2. Why Globant?

Sample answer: “Three reasons. First, Globant is a digital engineering consultancy - you build for global clients across finance, media, and tech, so I would learn varied domains and client communication, not one codebase forever. Second, public India reports describe thoughtful, unhurried panels that still expect real JS/React or .NET depth; that fits how I prepare. Third, I am targeting Pune or Bengaluru hubs where Globant runs large delivery centres; I want a studio where I can grow from implementer to someone who can explain design decisions in a client call.”

Facts to weave in: Digital Products / AI Studios; client fitment round on named accounts; fresher band ₹7–12 LPA candidate-reported.

3. Why should we hire you?

Sample answer: “Hire me for three proofs. One, I fixed a React performance issue by memoizing list items and splitting context - I can show before/after in DevTools, not only claim ‘optimized.’ Two, in a college sprint I was the person who turned vague requirements into a one-page scope so we shipped a demo; that is the agile mindset client studios need. Three, I document handovers: my internship successor deployed without me because I left runbooks. Globant eliminates candidates who list tools they cannot implement live; my resume matches what I can whiteboard.”

4. Strengths and weaknesses

Sample answer (strength): “Explaining technical choices simply - in mocks I practice a 90-second client version and a 5-minute engineer version of the same feature, which helps in Globant’s client/fitment rounds.”

Sample answer (weakness): “I used to say yes to every stack on the resume. After a panel asked me to implement an Array polyfill live, I trimmed buzzwords and deepened JavaScript fundamentals - closures, this, and async - instead of listing five frameworks shallowly.”

5. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Sample answer: “In five years I want to be a trusted engineer on a client squad - owning a module, presenting demos to stakeholders, and mentoring juniors on code quality and communication. I am not optimizing for ‘manager in two years’; I want depth in a studio stack (for me, modern frontend) and the consulting skill of handling shifting requirements without drama.”

6. Tell me about a conflict in a team

STAR sample: “Situation: Our hackathon team split on REST vs GraphQL for a demo API. Task: Client review in 72 hours. Action: I wrote a comparison on latency, caching, and team familiarity; we picked REST with a clear migration note if scope grew. Result: Demo shipped; the ‘disagree and commit’ moment is what I would bring to a Globant agile squad.”

7. Are you willing to relocate / work shifts?

Sample answer: “Yes - I am open to Pune or Bengaluru as listed on most campus and lateral mailers. Some client engagements may need overlap with US or EU time zones; I would confirm expectations with the recruiter and plan honestly. If I had a hard constraint, I would state it before accepting.”

8. Explain a gap / low score / job hop

Sample answer: “I switched projects mid-internship when my host team reorganized - not a performance issue. I left with a completion certificate and a reference from my second mentor. I explain that in one sentence and focus on what I shipped in the final eight weeks.”

9. What do you know about Globant?

Sample answer: “Globant is an Argentina-founded digital engineering and AI company with large India delivery in Pune, Bengaluru, and other hubs. It organizes work into studios (digital products, AI, gaming, etc.) and staffs engineers directly onto client accounts, which is why fitment rounds test communication. Typical loops: online coding or assessment, technical (stack-specific - JS/React for UI, C#/Java for backend), managerial review, sometimes client round. Fresher compensation is often quoted ₹7–12 LPA online - I will trust the offer letter.”

10. Do you have any questions for us?

Strong questions:

  • “Which studio would this role sit in, and what client industry is typical?”
  • “How does Globant onboard freshers onto client projects - shadowing, internal academy, or direct staffing?”
  • “What does success in the first six months look like for someone in this track?”
  • “How are AI-assisted delivery tools used internally without replacing code review standards?”

11. How would you handle unclear client requirements?

STAR sample: “Situation: A course client kept changing dashboard widgets weekly. Task: I was frontend lead with a fixed deadline. Action: I ran a 30-minute scope lock each Monday, recorded decisions in Slack, and shipped a configurable widget shell so new charts were data-driven, not rewrites. Result: We hit the deadline; I learned to sell ‘extensible baseline’ to non-technical stakeholders - the same skill Globant client rounds probe.”

12. Describe explaining a technical decision to a non-technical person

Sample answer: “When our API pagination confused the product owner, I skipped HTTP details and used a book analogy: ‘Page 1 is chapters 1–20; page 2 is 21–40; the bookmark is the cursor token.’ They agreed to cursor-based paging for mobile. I would use the same plain-language mapping in a Globant client call, then offer a deeper doc for their tech lead if needed.”

13. Salary expectations

Sample answer: “I have seen fresher bands quoted around ₹7–12 LPA in public reports for India digital-engineering roles. My expectation is aligned with Globant’s band and the studio location in the offer letter - I care about role, learning, and client exposure, not negotiating before I understand the scope.”

14. Do you have other offers?

Sample answer: “I may have other service-company and product processes active. Globant is a strong choice because of studio variety and client exposure. I will compare offers on role, city, and growth path and reply within the timeline HR gives.”
