3. Why should we hire you?

4. Strengths and weaknesses

5. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

9. What do you know about NTPC?

What do you know about NTPC?”Prepare three facts: business lines in thermal, hydro, solar and nuclear power generation, plus coal mining and power trading, engineering focus (no coding or DSA round at all - shortlisting is purely on your GATE score in your discipline, and the Personal Interview tests your branch’s core subjects - thermodynamics, power systems, control systems, structures - applied to power-plant and generation contexts), and one recent public initiative. From student reports fresher CTC context: ₹7.2-12 LPA (believe the written offer letter).
10. Do you have any questions for us?
Section titled “10. Do you have any questions for us?”Ask about team rituals, mentoring, success metrics for the role, or tech stack. Avoid salary as the first question.

Red flags to avoid
