Groww Interview Experiences
These Groww interview notes are rewritten from public student posts (GeeksforGeeks, LinkedIn) and campus summaries. Your panel can still look different by role and year.
Usual campus flow: resume screen → online assessment → Technical 1 → Technical 2 / EM → culture / HR.
Usual off-campus intern flow: referral or hackathon shortlist → take-home assignment → stack-heavy technical → culture fit.

Real interview experiences

Process
- HR contact after a hackathon → take-home assignment first (TypeScript codebase stories; Groww’s JS → TS shift comes up).
- Next-day interview with two senior SDEs on web fundamentals + the assignment (~90 minutes; several candidates called it a tough JS round).
- Culture fit: journey, Why Groww, app vs web preference, what you do when stuck.
- Select mail after a few days.
What helped
- Reading Groww’s TypeScript migration story so the closing questions felt real.
- Being able to defend assignment trade-offs live, not only in the README.
Experience 2: Off-campus SDE intern - 3-day OA loop

Process
- OA with 3 mediums (candidate solved all).
- 1 hour Tech: 2 mediums + internship deep dive into backend / SQL / OS / OOP.
- 1 hour EM: resume, design concepts, one more DSA.
- Loop finished in about three days.
Steal
- Keep DSA hot after you “already cleared OA.” Interviewers often re-probe the same muscle.
Experience 3: React Native intern - assignment + TS DSA + Redux machine coding

Process
- APK + demo video as the gate.
- TypeScript DSA with complexity grilling.
- RN / JS output questions, then managerial.
Where people stall
- Redux-from-scratch and multi-WebSocket LLD.
- Practise those on a weekend, not the night before.
What selected profiles usually show

- One internship or project with a metric.
- A Why Groww answer that names a surface (orders, SIPs, watchlists) instead of “fintech unicorn.”
- Willingness to join in Bengaluru.
What hurt candidates in 2025-2026 write-ups

- Could not rebuild Redux / store live.
- DSA only in Java, then forced to type TypeScript in the interview.
- Refusing Bengaluru in the last round.
- Treating culture fit as chill HR with no “how I get unstuck” story.

If a story has no number, it is not ready for the EM round.
After you clear OA or submit the assignment
Section titled “After you clear OA or submit the assignment”- Two timed mediums every other day - protect trees, graphs, hashing.
- Rewrite internship schema / RN architecture on paper.
- 90-second Why Groww + Bengaluru.
- If RN / web: re-implement the assignment’s hardest module once.
- Sleep. Do not start a new framework the night before Tech 1.
