Common CRED HR questions

Section titled “1. Tell me about yourself”Framework: Present → Past → Future (60-90 seconds). End with why you are interviewing for this CRED role today.
2. Why CRED?
Section titled “2. Why CRED?”Sample direction: “I care about reliable systems that move money correctly. CRED is a strong place to learn that craft.” Add one concrete product/team/tech detail you actually know.
3. Why should we hire you?
Section titled “3. Why should we hire you?”Pick 3 proofs: a project metric, a tough bug/debug story, and a teamwork example. Keep it under 90 seconds.
4. Strengths and weaknesses
Section titled “4. Strengths and weaknesses”Strength: give evidence. Weakness: real, non-fatal, with improvement actions (not “I work too hard”).
5. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Section titled “5. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?”Show growth inside engineering/problem-solving, not an unrealistic title jump. Align with learning at CRED.
6. Tell me about a conflict in a team

7. Are you willing to relocate / work shifts?

8. Explain a gap / low score / job hop

9. What do you know about CRED?

What do you know about CRED?”Prepare three facts: business lines in credit card bill payments, credit lines and lending, rewards and member commerce, engineering focus (machine coding with clean extensible OOP, DSA plus logic puzzles, system design scoped to credit-line/rewards/bill-payment flows), and one recent public initiative. From student reports fresher CTC context: ₹18-25 LPA (believe the written offer letter).
10. Do you have any questions for us?
Section titled “10. Do you have any questions for us?”Ask about team rituals, mentoring, success metrics for the role, or tech stack. Avoid salary as the first question.

Red flags to avoid

- Memorized speeches that ignore the question asked
- Lying about tools or CGPA
- Only asking about CTC/WFH in the first breath
- Zero questions at the end
