Birlasoft Interview Experiences

These Birlasoft interview notes are rewritten from public student posts and prep-site summaries. Your panel can still look different.

Usual flow: English/communication assessment (some drives) → Online assessment (aptitude + CS MCQs + easy coding) → Technical round(s) → Managerial/client round → HR

Rated easy-to-medium overall (Glassdoor: ~68.5% positive, difficulty ~2.9/5); freshers report Java/HTML/CSS/React basics being enough, with little heavy DSA.

For freshers: Core Java, Spring Boot basics, HTML/CSS, React, Git/Bitbucket, SQL joins, DBMS/ACID properties, and project walkthroughs; not much heavy DSA. A managerial/client round can follow, focused on practical dev experience and communication.

Family background, career motivation, “why Birlasoft,” 2-year plan, past interview experience, and questions for the panel; rated easy to medium.

Trainee Engineer track, 4 rounds: English assessment (15-30 min, pre-recorded listening/speaking tasks) → OA (1h40m, ~120 MCQs on aptitude + DBMS/OS/DS/C/C++/architecture/testing/networking, plus 2 easy coding questions - remove vowels from a string, dedupe+sort an array) → Technical interview (30 min: project discussion, SQL joins, ACID properties, tech-trend questions) → HR/managerial (family background, motivation, 2-year plan). Offer (internship) came a few months later.

Aggregate fresher/trainee reviews describe aptitude+reasoning+technical MCQs with easy-level coding, then a technical round covering self-intro, DBMS, and resume technologies; a 2025 candidate reported L1 → L2 → HR → client rounds, with Java/HTML/CSS/basic React sufficient prep as a fresher. Software Trainee applicants rate the process 100% positive with ~3-day average time-to-hire.

These notes come from public reports and can differ by campus, year, and role. If your college placement email or the official careers/notification PDF says something different, follow that.

After technical rounds, Birlasoft usually closes with a short HR / hiring-manager conversation: motivation, location, notice period, and a couple of behavioural stories. Prepare those answers on the dedicated page rather than cramming them into this hub.
